Frostbite is a common winter disease, which is a systemic or local injury caused by the invasion of low temperatures on the human body. Frostbite is mostly found in areas with poor peripheral blood circulation, such as the face, ears, nose, hands, and feet. The main manifestations are pale, cold, painful, and numb skin. When exposed to high temperatures, the skin may itch, and in severe cases, the affected area may experience skin erosion, ulcers, and so on. Therefore, establishing an ideal frostbite animal model is of great significance for the study of drugs for treating frostbite.
